Hey!
So here goes another product review. Well at least my attempt at it.
A few weeks ago my parents went to New York for a couple of days and they asked me and my sister if there was anything that we'd like them to get us, which we can't get it in Germany. I instantly thought of the Urban Decay NAKED 3 palette, as we don't have Urban Decay here - yet. It's supposed to come over soon.
Seeing as it is significantly cheaper in the U.S., I thought it was a great bargain and asked my parents to get it for me. And they did. When they gave it to me I got as excited as a child who gets told they are going to Disney Land.
I already own the NAKED 2 palette, which I bought in Barcelona last year and I love it. I've used it so much that two of the shadows are only a few crumbs now and I was in desperate need of a new palette to obsess over. I have definitely found that palette!
Let's get down to it then:
The NAKED 3 palette contains 12 shadows, just like the other two NAKED palettes do.
There are 3 matte shadows, 5 shimmery shadows and 4 glittery shadows. The colours are more on the rosy, pink and rose-gold side, whereas the two previous palettes were more in the brown, beige and gold range.
It also comes with a double-sided brush, which has a blending brush on one side and a small-ish liner brush on the other. Additionally, there are a few samples of the Urban Decay Primer Potion in its various versions in the package, which the palette comes in.

Combined with the Urban Decay Primer Potion the shadows last really long. And when I say really long, I mean REALLY long. I can apply a full eye make up in the morning, spontaneously go out in the evening and get back home around 3 in the morning - and my eyeshadow will still look perfect. No creasing, no smudging - it's amazing.
The colours in the NAKED 3 palette are perfect for people with fair skin - like myself - and the rosy colours really compliment light eyes. Although I am sure the shadows would also look nice on darker skin and on people with darker eyes.
I personally prefer them on lighter skin and lighter eyes in the blue/green range though, seeing as these colour's complementary colours - orange for blue and red for green - are distributed throughout the undertones of the shadows.
The only downside to the shadows is that they have quite a bit of fall-down. When applying them, be sure to put concealer on afterwards, because they will fall and crumble on your under-eye area. Apart from that there's nothing I don't like about them!
*"Nooner" is displayed on the top and bottom picture, so apologies for that*
*Same thing with "Mugshot", apologies again*
The pigmentaion and colour pay-off is great, as you can see in the pictures above.
I am in love with this palette!
I hope you enjoyed this review, let me know what you think about the NAKED 3 palette, or any of the NAKED palettes really!
Leoni
