Reading Festival 2014

Hey there,

I'm finally back in my favorite country of all time, spending 2 weeks in my wonderful 2nd home.
I had the most amazing weekend at Reading Festival, with so much music, my bestest friends and not enough sleep.
Excuse the quality of the pictures, they were all taken with an iPhone. I did get a disposable camera though, so once I'm back home I'll get those pictures developed and put them on here.

A Family Holiday

Here are a few pictures from the past week.
I went on holiday with my family to south Germany/Austria and had quite the nice time - even though the weather wasn't so pleasant.

This was the last time I got to spend a holiday with my family before going to England.
Moving day is coming closer and closer, and before that I'm also going to Reading for 2 weeks.
So basically, I have about a week left at home, before it's time to say goodbye. That is quite scary but also really exciting! I cannot wait to start this adventure - I know, I've said that countless times now - and I'm also really looking forward to meeting the girls I'm going to move in with, in real life. All three of them seem so lovely and it seems like we are going to get along with each other quite well.

Homeware Uni Haul

Hey,

I went to IKEA today with my mum and sister and we got a bunch of stuff for when I move out next month. I'm so glad that this part is finally sorted and it was really exciting to buy all these things, because it made me realise how little time I have left at home!
There are also a few bits and pieces from other stores, but most of them are from IKEA.

Here are (almost) all the things we bought:

A few things are missing, like towels and two pillow cases because they are currently in the wash.

Here's 20 hangers from Primark. YouTube has taught me that these are the best hangers you can get, because they're thin (so you can fit lots of stuff in a small wardrobe) and non-slip, as they are covered in a felt/velvet material. Just what I need!

These are my new pillows. I'm trying to go with a black, grey, white and blue theme in my room. Different patterns make it all look a bit more interesting and the pillow that is still in a plastic bag at the moment will have a plain blue pillow case on it soon, to pull it all together. Variations also mix things up a little, which is why I went with different sizes and shapes.

Here's the kitchen related things I needed. The house I will be moving into comes with all pots, pans, plates, glasses, cups etc, but we didn't get a full list of what exactly is going to be there. That's why I bought some things which I didn't think were going to be there or which I needed anyways.

From left to right:

1 big measuring cup
Knäckebrot (hard bread that lasts for a long time)
1 wholegrain bread mix
Kitchen scales
1 loaf pan
1 mini cooler bag
1 pair of oven gloves
1 garlic press
1 mug
30 clip thingies for closing plastic bags
12 silicone muffin liners
2 tea towels
4 plastic lunch boxes that can also be used for freezing/microwaving

And here's some bits and bobs for my room or just things I will generally need.

From left to right:

2 picture frames which I will fill with pictures of friends and family
1 double sided make up mirror
Fairy lights
1 alarm clock
2 cardboard boxes
2 metal containers for pens/make up brushes or the kitchen
1 shopping bag (the red thing)
1 umbrella (VERY important)
1 little glass bottle with
3 fake flowers
1 lint roller (no idea if that's the correct word. I mean the thing that gets rid of fluff)

Like I said at the beginning, a few things aren't included in this haul because they are in the wash, but apart from that, this is it! I'm so incredibly excited to move out and make my new little room look pretty. I'll definitely be putting up pictures of it once it's done, so you can see all the above items in action.
