Hey there!
So, on the weekend I had my first photography job. People have asked me multiple times to take pictures of them or even their baby, but I have never been payed for what I did/refused to accept money, because I felt like my work wasn't worthy of that yet.
The tables have turned!
My mum's friend's husband (oh man) turned 50 a few days ago and had a huge party with a James Bond theme. They rented an art gallery and it was all proper luxurious and exciting and ... rich.
He said to my mum that he would be, I quote, "delighted", if I took the pictures at the party, in exchange for some €€€. Of course I didn't say no to that. Seeing as my sister has a better camera than I do (quite unfair, as I'm the photography person in this family and I'm the older one, but oh well), I borrowed hers and got an additional flash.
Looking all professional, with this huge camera around my neck, I took pictures for almost 6 hours straight - and I have to admit, it was super exhausting. I don't want to sound like a little girl, because taking pictures is exactly what I want to do, and I bet there will be countless times in my life where I'll be exhausted of taking pictures, BUT it was harder than I thought.
I still had a lot of fun and realised once again that I'm on the right path. Moving to England in September and starting that photography course is definitely right for me and I'm really glad I made the decision to go.
Alrighty, here are some pictures from Saturday night then!
P.S. I don't want to break any rules or laws by putting pictures on the internet with people in them whom I didn't ask for permission to do so. That's why I'm putting a picture of me and my sister (which I obviously didn't take, but you'll get the hang of what the rest of the pictures looks like in general) and some items/equipment/objects at the party.
